Yesterday, I posted a briefly history about me and Colombia, when I arrived there 6 years ago… Before I continue, I have to thank you for all comments or/and interaction with this blog, thank you very much guys. Special thanks to Samantha Rua, Sangeeth Paulose and AJ Grimaud, they helped me to review this page.
Then, After, I arrived at “home”, better hostel, I had a small talk to my flatmates and I felt so bad… Really bad, kinda dizzy, of course, 6 hours of airplane, fasting for more than 5 horas, different air (Bogotá is so high, so its hard to breathe) and tired. But, thanks for my new collegues, they gave me a pacoquita (Tradicional candy from Brasil) and Caldo de Costilla (Wonderful soup from Colombia), then I recovered my energy.
Next day, in the morning, we have to apply for the document (Migrated ID), so I woke up early and dressed my best tshirts and pants, and went to the Migrated department, with all my document I gave to then and one week I received my ID, fast.
With my ID, I started to collected memories about Colombia and its culture. Maybe you dont know, but, in Colombia its famous for five things:
- Gabriel José García Márquez won Literature Nobel awards by one hundred years of solitude;
- Colombia has one of the best coffee in the world Coffee (Juan Valdez and Costa) and they exported to many countries;
- Esmerald its famous from Colombia;
- When we talk about beautiful girls, Colombia is a pretty place to visit and meet pretty women. Normally, from Medellin (They have a nice accent), Bogotá she has a beautiful face, Cali better known “City of salsa”, Villavicencio, Cucutá, Bucaramanga, Cartagena, San Andres and other place have a beautiful girls;
- Good food, If you get a hangover, Colombia has a good option to recovery, called Caldo de costilla, or maybe if you are starving and want to eat, you must to try Bandeja paisa, I particularly, love it this dishes!
My first visit to downtown, I tried everything and really liked my experience in Bogota. After a exhausted day, I received a notice about from the hostel… I’ll tell you tomorrow more details about it.
